Quasi-Connectivity (and why Bedrock doesn't have it)
Quasi-connectivity is a Java Edition quirk where a piston, dispenser, or dropper fires from power reaching the block above it. Bedrock removed it, so Java builds that rely on it must be rewired.
Why Won't My Redstone Work?
Most broken redstone comes down to a few causes: dust missing support, a torch fed only weak power, signal decaying past 15 blocks, or a component facing the wrong way. Here is the checklist.
Strong vs. Weak Power
Redstone has two kinds of block power: strong power flips torches and feeds new dust, while weak power only triggers components touching the block. Mixing them up breaks half of all circuits.
Redstone Ticks & Timing
A game tick is the world's heartbeat; a redstone tick is two of them. Repeaters add 1 to 4 redstone ticks of delay each, letting you tune timing precisely for clocks, sequences, and pulses.
