Pressure Plate
A pressure plate is a floor-mounted sensor that powers nearby redstone while an entity stands on it, then deactivates shortly after the entity steps off.

Pressure Plate — spec
Output Power level 15 while pressed
Stone plate Detects only players and mobs
Wooden plate Detects any entity, including items and arrows
Placement On top of a solid block
Bedrock note Weighted pressure plates (gold/iron) output an analog signal scaled to the number of entities on them — useful as a simple counter input.
